EMP MUSEUM PARTNERSHIP

2014 marks the beginning of an exciting partnership between EMP Museum and Decibel Festival. As part of this partnership, Decibel will be hosting our will call, media lounge, conference, two OPTICAL events, two A/V concerts, happy hour events and opening gala event at various spaces within EMP. In addition, Decibel will be hosting several of our most anticipated audio/visual showcases across three state-of-the-art venues, including; the JBL Theater, the multi-floored Level 3 and the awe-inspiring Sky Church, which boasts 65 foot ceilings and a mammoth 60′ x 33′ HD LED screen.

With 11 showcases and the entire dB Conference taking place at EMP this year, we look forward to consolidating much of the festival experience. In addition, Decibel Festival Pass holders will have full access to explore EMP’s exhibits, including the recently launched Spectacle: The Music Video interactive exhibit.

W SEATTLE: OFFICIAL HOTEL PARTNER OF THE 2014 DECIBEL FESTIVAL

We are pleased to collaborate with W Seattle as the official hotel partner of the 2014 Decibel Festival. Situated in the heart of downtown, the contemporary and stylish W Seattle offers 415 deluxe guestrooms, and 9 suites, and is close to art and music venues and downtown attractions including the famous Pike Place Market. Plan your productive day, spend a playful night in the hotel’s award-winning Living Room starting with the Festival’s daily DJ Happy Hour from 4-7pm or dine in TRACE restaurant, offering a localist perspective on urban dining with a hint of Asian notes. For an inspirational drink, pull up to the lively Trace bar for hand-crafted cocktails and liquor from regional distilleries, a wine list highlighting notable regional vintners and other beverages including interesting varietals of sake and locally brewed beers.

21+ VENUES AND IDS

In order to gain entry to a bar in Seattle, you must be 21 or over and have a valid form of identification (whether it is a passport, a drivers license or a government issued identification card). Bring your ID absolutely everywhere because all bars and venues in Seattle WILL check your ID and will most definitely refuse you entry if you do not have it. Bars are open until 2:00 AM, but will often stop selling drinks at 1:30AM (1:45 AM bar time). Grocery stores and other corner stores now sell alcohol (spirits), beer, and wine, and will continue to do so until 2:00 AM. For a list of local grocery stores, please view the GUIDE TO CAPITOL HILL or the GUIDE TO DOWNTOWN, which lists the hours and phone numbers for stores close to the venues (SEE MAPS BELOW).
