Decibel Festival and Blue Spectral Storm present Deadbeat (Berlin) at the Re-bar Seattle with Rob Noble (Deep n Bass, Starborne) and Selecta Gro (KBCS).

Deadbeat, master of the crackly electronics with a rub-a-dub style, is one Scott Monteith, an adopted Montrealer who has been releasing his own special blend of dub laden, minimal electronics since 2000 for labels such as Kompakt, Cynosure, Intr_version, Revolver, and Scape.

Everyone from Montreal is super nice, even the local politicians, but Scott Monteith is just that bit supernicer. For over a decade the Montreal musician has been crafting crackly worlds of dub under his Deadbeat moniker. After moving to Berlin, he launched his own imprint BLKRTZ, in a move inspired for the most part by his past experiences with community-minded labels like ~scape, and spread his electronic vision to include uptempo rollers and bone-crushingly weighty minimalism on his Infinity Dubs series, featuring Paul St Hilaire aka Tikiman, next to dubby ambience and decaying sonic narratives on albums like Primordia and Eight.

Rob Noble has been an active member, DJ, and promoter in the NW Electronic Music community since ’00. Mostly known for his Drum&Bass but loves some groovy tech-house, techno, and 2-step… Catch Rob at his west coast bass monthly, DEEP И’ BΔSS.
