Decibel Festival is back with FAMILY FUNKTION

Since moving to Los Angeles in October of 2015, I’ve worked tirelessly for other organizations, venues and corporations in an effort to understand what is undoubtedly the most diverse and complex music community I have ever experienced. Throughout this process, the goal was always to bring Decibel Festival/Productions to LA in some incarnation. Though we’ve had success with over a dozen one-off events and collaborations, nothing compares to a multi-stage, multi-day program that highlights a wide spectrum of talent and the community that supports it.

It has taken me over two years now to finally feel confident with my standing in the Los Angeles community, which I’m honored to be a part of. For this initial foray into festival territory, I’ve found partners and artists who share a common vision and whom I believe will help erode those imaginary walls that divide otherwise likeminded individuals. Though this isn’t Decibel Festival as those who’ve supported us over the past 15 years might know, this is the epoch of what I believe will be a family with common goals functioning together as one.

With that, I’m pleased to announce the initial lineup for the inaugural FAMILY FUNKTION (10+ co-hosts and 40+ artists performing across four stages)
