Chicago duo Santiago and Bushido have been recording since 2001, with tracks that range from the deep and soulful to techier fare. While they’ve released material on respected labels Om, Black Cherry, Robsoul and Control, the attention to the group picked up after the release of their For What EP on Potty Mouth, showcasing the pair’s movement into hard-hitting fidget territory. Coupled with their high-profile production on house superstar Collette’s latest album, Push, Santiago and Bushido are setting themselves apart as part of Chicago house’s latest generation of producers.
This appearance marks their debut live performance (Friday night at Neumos).
