PERFORMERS

Improvisor, composer and media technician Vance Galloway performs at Decibel on "prepared electronic guitar". Eschewing synthesizers, he uses his instrument, multiple electromagnetic transducers, modified audio processing software, home-made plugins, a touch controller, violin bows and metal bars to conjure complex drones, flowing harmonics, shifting grains of sound, clicks and pops, and perhaps even a melody or two. Also a member of the Elders of Zion, Respectable Citizen and several improvisatory duos and trios, Vance is an active participant in Seattle's experimental music community.
