About

Driven from a diverse musical background in jazz, psychedelic rock, post-punk, and metal, Archivist (Alex Markey) plummeted his way into techno’s darkest corners. His sets are inspired by insurgent outdoor techno parties in Eastern Washington and dark, grimy Tacoma basements, fused with the expansive landscapes of the Pacific Northwest. In 2012, he joined Seattle artists and promoters Nick Carroll, Eddie Lee, Josef Gaard, Aos, Fugal, and Simic to form the secondnature collective, which has since become a staple in the Seattle techno scene.
